Having recently received a few more coins via eBay, I have done what I normally do and set about inspecting the coins under the scope. This has thrown up three new (to me at least) instances of a double date.
1963 – David J Groom’s book states that there are no reports of double stuck numerals. Given that the book was published 12 years ago, this could have been the case, now I beg to differ.
1964 – again no mention in David J Groom’s book about doubled dates but here is what I saw this evening:
