This is another one of those variants that I have been looking to add to the collection for a while. Selling for nearly £40, I have never purchased one preferring to hunt and find one. Like buses though, you wait for ages and two turn up at once!
The mark, just to the right of the E of one, is thought to be a blemish of some sort on the die but adds the 1946 Penny to the list of dot varieties to look out for:
- 1860
- 1863
- 1870
- 1875
- 1878
- 1893
- 1897
- 1909
- 1922
- 1946
