The Half Penny “Short Rope” variant

Mr Grooms book [1] makes specific mention of a variant named the “Short Rope”. This particular issue affects a number of dates in the 1950’s and 1960’s. From a limited search there are no images of this particular variant so I am having to make a best judgement as to what this looks like.

The short rope issue can be seen in the image above, the rope does not make it as far as the deck but it is not always obvious if this is just damage or is in fact a short rope.

It is better to be able to view a normal and short rope in order to be able to tell the difference:

Image 1 shows the normal rope, which is quite thick where as image 2 shows this rope is week. This is what I am determining to be a Short Rope variety. All photos on this page are coins that I have in my possession.
